Most recently, KFFW partnered with the MNCPPC Dept. of Parks and Recreation and the Prince Georges County Health Department to co-sponsor the 2021 District 9 Wellness Event, held at the Southern Area Aquatic and Recreation Complex (SARC) in Brandywine, MD. KFFW has hosted 5 public health and wellness events in southern Prince Georges County to date. These events provide medical and dental screenings, flu shots, Covid vaccination and education, and general wellness information and coaching. Area healthcare agencies & providers have attended to interact with the community, addressing their questions and concerns. and also help to overcome the stigma of seeking medical or mental health assistance.
